About Linda Dailey,
My childhood was spent in Westchester County, New York. Due to the proximity of NYC, we often visited museums, the Planetarium and Radio City Music hall, thank goodness for this early exposure to the arts . My schooling was in Westchester County schools, however I graduated from Punahou Academy in Honolulu, what a fabulous opportunity to see lush vegetation, immense waterfalls and the endless ocean.
I was blessed with 3 children and was a single mom for some of their lives, challenges, successes and tenacity was an end result of this experience.
My professional life consisted of:
- Designer and buyer for a store development company who built “Pickwick Village Card and Gift Shops” throughout New York and New Jersey. The concept was my baby and I loved having this opportunity. to create the ambiance for 42 stores.
- VP of purchasing for the Arthur Rutenberg franchised building companies throughout Florida and Georgia. Again a rewarding job,in addition to negotiating national contracts for the company, we created software to assist the building companies. After 15 years I left, we had 40+ companies at that point.
- Interior designer and archictectural advisor for a Florida building company. This was my long time dream job and I loved working with clients to develop their homes, select colors and finishes and see the results when they walked in the front doors of their finishes homes. Fun!
